6/25/2009 Timing and smootheningPresented an analyst stock-picking performance measuring system today by one fund client. Success trading ranking, according to the design, comes from 1. core portfolio differences, i.e., relative return between top group and bottom group stocks; 2. big changes/turns; 3. spread betwen top and bottom selection, or so-called "tail". Timing, therefore, only makes 1/3 contribtion over long term.
Careerwide, one may make superb shots at job turn, pocking millions of dollars on certain moves, making her rich; yet also people like me, screwed up on several strings in a row, achieving very little now. Maybe it's time to calm down, hunker back and stay patiently, finally getting what I should, if I belong to the top portfolio.
6/6/2009 美的奢侈 极致的美，无以言容之；奢侈的美，观止而后愧——四川美的魅力，就是那种奢侈：大自然，把精华如此集中的满溢呈现，愧疚的是，何以再能见到如同九寨的水，如同峨嵋的神山，如同藏羌的纯朴，如同成都的安逸。无论怎么称赞四川的自然和文化之美也不为过。
怀着初夏的骚动，我和友人从蓉城出发，开始九日川北之旅。拜访了武侯祠、杜甫草堂，领略千百年来中国政治文化的精髓之后，翌日启程飞往九黄机场。在海拔三千多米的黄龙，各个角度端详五彩池的神奇，下山也颇为辛苦。当晚宿九寨沟口。
一大早即奔赴原始森林，空气清新、林木茂盛；沿日则沟一路看了几个至为精华的海子，虽说九寨最好的使节当属秋季，可看到红黄蓝绿不同色调；可就算当下，平静清澈的蓝海子，倒映着青翠的林子，白水涓涓，瀑布淙淙，时而平和，时而壮观，已经让我这个城市中人叹为观止。下午又从长海出发，沿着则查洼沟南下。雪山之下静谧的长海，让人感觉心灵得到升华。当晚参加的藏族人纯朴的晚会。次日，二次进沟，改徒步整个树正沟，沿途不下十五六公里，虽说精致不及第一天，也是一番不同的风味。回程看了几个原始村寨，又骑马两个多小时，驰骋山坳。晚上观看了高原红的藏羌文化表演，惊叹其天籁之音、绚丽之装。
第四日早出发去牟尼沟，拉嘎瀑布壮观无比。路径松潘（松赞干布和文成公主相会之所），踏着尘土飞扬的山路，沿着岷江，走访一个个地震灾区——茂县、汶川、映秀、都江堰，消失的地平线，消失了的山峦，消失了的公路，彻底被摧毁的文明，满目伧夷，感慨良多。十个小时的车程，终于在晚上重返蓉城。
成都的白天是悠闲的，成都的晚上是浪漫的。我们在锦江赏月，在廊桥头放孔明灯，在锦里、合江亭叹吧，在春熙路饱眼福......安逸，多么贴切的形容成都人的生活，令人向往。成都也是既有饮食文化和历史遗产的胜地，从茶叶到白酒，从三星堆到金沙遗址，我们的行程，实在装不下这个魅力十足的城市。
峨眉山的佛教寺庙，还有无数的亭台楼榭，山川交织的美景，我想应该怀着虔诚踏实的心境，徒步登上那金碧辉煌的金顶，才能深切感触一番吧。
我的心现在满满的，想念四川的一切......
